Q: What are the check-in and check-out times for Bilpin Country Lodge?

A: Bilpin Country Lodge has a check-in time of 2:00 pm and a check-out time of 10:00 am. You can book a late checkout, subject to availability.

 

Q: How long is the drive to/from Sydney CBD or Airport?

A: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Sydney’s CBD or Kingsford Smith airport (SYD), and just over an hour from the new Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) opening in late 2026.

 

Q: How long is the drive to Katoomba / the Three Sisters and to Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah?

A: The Lodge is approximately 55 minutes to Katoomba, and 13 minutes to Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah.

 

Q: Does Bilpin Country Lodge offer free Wi-Fi?

A: Yes, we have free Wi-Fi, available throughout the Lodge.

 

Q: Does Bilpin Country Lodge have a pool?

A: Yes, we have a large spa pool, heated to 37 degrees. In Summer (October to April) there is swimming & canoeing & jumping off the deck into the dam. BYO swimming towel.

 

Q: Is there parking available? And electric vehicle charging?

A: Yes, we have plenty of free, onsite parking. We also have standard 240V charging available 24/7 at no cost, BYO charging cable.

 

Q: What’s included for breakfast?

A: Juice, milk, cereals (including Cornflakes, Just Right, Nutri Grain, Coco Pops, Muesli), bread for toast, butter, spreads, jams, bacon, eggs, beef sausages, baked beans, pancake mix, tea / coffee / hot chocolate (all 24/7)

 

Q: When is breakfast served?

A: Breakfast is self-serve, self-prepare. The Lodge kitchen is supplied with all of the above items prior to arrival. You can prepare & self-serve breakfast whenever you want.

 

Q: What coffee is available at the lodge?

A: Ground coffee is provided for plunger/French press coffee (there are plungers in kitchen cupboard).  There’s also a Nespresso pod machine available (takes the smaller pods).  BYO pods. Suitable pods are available at supermarkets or Nespresso shops. We also have instant coffee available.

 

Q: Is there a café or a bakery nearby?

A: Yes. The Grumpy Baker in Bilpin is a 2 min drive or 10 – 15 min easy walk. You can do a morning cappuccino run and pick up fresh pastries baked onsite daily. Open from 6.30am.

 

Q: What kitchen equipment and supplies are provided?

A: There’s a full kitchen for guest use. You can comfortably cook for a group of up to 20 people. Kitchen equipment includes: gas cooktop, large electric oven, baking trays, pots & pans, dishwashers, microwave, air fryer, rice cooker, plates & bowls, mugs & cups, cutlery, glassware (wine, champagne, water), food prep equipment (knives, peelers, chopping boards), stick blender, BBQ (outside) and BBQ tongs/scraper.

Also salt, pepper, spray oil, plastic cling wrap, foil, baking paper. For the dining table we have serviettes, placemats, salt & pepper and comfortable seating for up to 20 people.  There are two high chairs in the dining area.

 

Q: Are board games provided?

A: Unfortunately, no. The pieces kept going missing.

 

Q: Is there a fireplace?

A: Yes, there is an indoor slow combustion wood fireplace that keeps the whole lodge snug & warm in winter.

You can also enjoy toasting marshmallows around the campfire outside (BYO marshmallows!).

 

Q: Are the bedrooms heated/cooled?

A: Yes, there is reverse cycle air conditioning in all bedrooms.  Warm in winter and cool in summer.

 

Q: Is bedding supplied?

A: Yes. All bedding, bath towels & personal soap is supplied.  Bedding for cots isn’t provided as this is a personal preference for parents.  There are two portable cots available for guest use at the lodge.

 

Q: Can we play soccer and ride bikes?

A: Yes.  There’s a huge front lawn the size of a football pitch for ball games.  There’s a 1km mountain bike/bushwalking track at the lodge.  Plus 3-4km mountain bike/bushwalking tracks through the national park directly opposite the lodge entrance.

 

Q: Can we eat out nearby?

A: Yes.  There are local cafes, restaurants, and a local pub bistro.  You can view a selection of local cafes and restaurants on our Bilpin Café’s and Restaurants page.

 

Q: Can we go fruit picking?

A: There are fruit picking orchards (in season) close to the lodge in Bilpin.  You can walk or drive to the fruit picking orchards. View our Bilpin Fruit Picking page for more information.
